Here's your opportunity to add to the list of features that you would like to see in the phase II (Phase 1 can be seen the ChangeLog.htm file)

Here are some to get started (Thanks shaaden)

  • Scheduling
    • Daily / hourly / weekly,
    • X minutes after change detect,
    • Every X minutes
    • Other
  • "Log views" menu would allow to see the last sync operation date/time and the output status
  • Mail after each sync/check operation
    • After each operation
    • Only where there is a detected problem
  • Footprint visualization
    • How much is being protected from where
    • What is the output size
    • How long / (CPU cycles) are these processes taking

  • As the scheduling thing is really needed to be done silently, then app needs to be changed to be an application tray friendly thing, that also works on *Nix !

  • Create the form as Tabbed layout
  • Place "more info" in the vacant space at the bottom (i.e. keep size same, and reuse for an interpreted "tail style" output)

Perhaps you could integrate support for mhhdfs as well (http://romanrm. ru/en/mhddfs). mhddfs and snapraid seem to me a very good combination of features

Elucidate works very well...

The GUI should allow the log file to be saved to a user defined location.

(Actually the log file location can be moved by editing the "Elucidate.exe.config" file; however clicking "Log View" in the GUI does not view the location defined in the config file.)

Support the new pool function

Either a 4th button (after differences/synch/check), or perhaps even the option to auto run the pool command after every synch.

I tried just adding "pool" under additional command line options, but it didn't work. I guess maybe you can't run a pool and synch at the same time.
